"The case load that our claims staff was carrying in the past was based on an inconsistent number. Being able to accurately determine the case loads per examiner made it possible for us to redistribute the work so that the examiners had more time with each file and were better able to review the information relative to each claim. This change alone positively impacted productivity and was a major contributor to the 2% improvement that we saw in our loss ratios.
